The Good Woman — Revisited

I made these posters to revisit the stereotypes behind being a “good woman.” I grew up seeing feminism gaining power and changing what it means to be a woman, but I still heard many sexist advices on how I should behave and what I should become. People who believed a woman should stay at home, not speak her mind, and be pretty — an angelical kind, not a ‘slut’. Anything other than that was wrong. So I took some of the phrases I heard and added an ironic twist. I hope to give a more empowered and up-to-date perspective on what it means to be a woman.

I hand drew the images, and added typeface on photoshop. I decided to do three posters because I believe my message makes more sense as a collection.
