The Life and Work of Moshe Safdie: a Pop-up Book

By Mariana Giraldo, Naya Yassin, and Dion Brandt-Sims

This pop-up book was created by three product design students & friends who are passionate about human-centered design. We decided to dive into the work of Moshe Safdie because we are in awe of his ability to combine elements that would initially seem contradictory. In his buildings, dizzying heights and seemingly impossible shapes meet a deep interest in the surrounding ecosystem and landscape.

We used Figma prototype to build our book for an immersive experience where the reader could make a journey through Safde’s work.

We have also created a video of the book with narration:

Check out Moshe Safdie’s website here.

We also based our pop-up book off of this article by Aviva Lori.
