Galia Merchants is founded by the same people who created the Hologram News Network, so you can expect the same high quality in both our news and our merchandise. Our goal, just like the news, is to bring you the best Star Atlas inspired merch hands down. All of our items are created by professional vendors with global reach. We’ve also opted to sell product that is ethically sourced and eco-friendly.
We’ve been silently testing and working on this spin-off project for almost two months now. With today’s launch, we offer selection of hats, hoodies, t-shirts, mousepads, and more. While the selection may seem small at first, this is purposeful. We want to make sure everything runs smoothly and that the Star Atlas community has a positive experience from order placement to fulfillment. We look forward to your feedback!

Lastly, and probably the most exciting aspect of this all, is that we are the first commercial entity to accept $ATLAS as a form of payment for merchandise items. That’s right, you can turn your $ATLAS directly into a hat or hoodie, or any other item we sell now and in the future. We of course also take $SOL and $USDC and our payments are backed by SolPay. There are no permissions required and it’s a simple transaction.
Why Merch? 3 reasons
First, we see this as a way to help sustain and attract content creation at The Hologram. Everything that’s been paid for, including payment to writers and creators, and this merch store, has been funded personally by Krigs. In the future, we plan on introducing creator bounties as you see in other Web 3 games and this will in part go towards that.
Second, we saw a gap and need in the community. The Star Atlas IP policy really enabled us to take this on and succeed. Expect more designs to come out rapidly, especially around large Star Atlas events along with the possibility of community-voted designs that end up in the store.
Lastly, it goes back to Michael’s ideas about creating economies in and around this metaverse that aren’t directly game related. We all know gameplay is coming, and we’ve been working on our end to build out commercial entities that will interact with the Star Atlas ecosystem.
