Do you know how many countries there are in the world? According to World O Meters, there are 195 countries in the world today. That is an average of nearly 27 countries on each of the 7 continents! Traveling across the world can be expensive and for many of us, budgets can be pretty limited over the summer, especially if you’ve already taken a trip… or two. So we wanted to share with you some of our favorite ways to help your children to explore and grow as global citizens without breaking the bank.

One of our favorite ideas is taking your kids on a virtual field trip, having the ability to explore the world at your fingertips… literally! There are a variety of websites that offer virtual tours as well as live webcams so that your children can view and experience some of the world’s most famous sights from the comfort of your home. We’ve compiled our top three virtual field trip sights below.
