Find Ourselves
poetry
In the space between breaths,
we find ourselves,
not in the noise of the world,
but in the quiet echoes of our own hearts.
A journey without distance,
yet one that spans the stars,
we walk paths unseen,
guided by whispers
that rise from the depths of our being.
We find ourselves in moments of stillness,
where time slows and the pulse of the earth
beats in harmony with our own.
In the reflection of a still lake,
in the rustle of leaves on a silent afternoon,
in the first light of dawn
and the last sigh of dusk,
we find pieces of who we are.
The world spins on,
a blur of colors and sounds,
but we, we stand apart,
still and quiet,
seeking the truth in the spaces in between.
For it is there, in the in-betweens,
that we find ourselves,
not in the rush of the day,
but in the calm of the night,
in the pause before the next step.
We find ourselves in the stories we tell,
in the songs we sing,
in the love we give
and the dreams we chase.
In the courage to face the unknown,
and the grace to let go of what was,
we discover the essence of who we are.
And when the day is done,
when the world quiets down
and the stars take their place in the sky,
we find ourselves,
not in the destination,
but in the journey,
in the moments we dared to be true,
in the spaces we made our own.
In the end, we find ourselves
not by searching,
but by being —
being present,
being open,
being alive
to the wonder that is our own existence.
