It might sound like a crazy question. Surely, if I had died I wouldn’t be here to connect with you, but I believe life is a spiraling process of birth, life, and death on repeat, and I’m not the only one.

‘You wake up. Then you wake up some more. Oneself dies. Another is born. It’s an evolution of consciousness.’

Sue Monk Kidd

If you think back over your life, you can name all the jobs you’ve had, the homes you’ve lived in, the places you’ve visited, and the people you’ve known. In each of those memories exists a slightly different you. One of each of the steps that you took on the journey to the person you are today.

How often do we find ourselves remarking, ‘Oh, that was a lifetime ago’?

If you think about life pre-covid 19, life pre-Obama, or if you are a parent… life pre-children. When you reminisce over your teens, your twenties, your first love, or your first job. The things you accepted from relationships, adventures you leaped into, or beliefs you held. All of them can feel so distant, almost as though they happened to an entirely different person.
