I Regret

A poem about regretting after giving up

My skin tore open,

The blood spilled on the ground,

I fell in that pool of blood,

And saw my life escaping my body.

Hang on, I told myself,

But every second I lost my strength,

And I knew I had enough to get back up,

But still I gave up, on myself and on life.

I still regret giving up,

And I can do nothing to reverse it,

Cause it is too late now,

And that regret can’t change anything.

“Regretting something destroys us internally and wholly. Try to make the right choice so that regret and that guilt cannot haunt us ever”
