If I Met You Now

a poem

If I met you now, I wonder
but didn’t I meet you everyday
or did I stop seeing the person in front of me
did I stop noticing your subtle changes

If I could turn back time, I wonder
but wasn’t I there for every moment
or did I fall asleep along the way
and stop living the life I had dreamed of
