Me Without You
A poem

The separation of us
Is the beginning of finding me
Me being me, without you
Of no longer being an us,
Just two people
Two souls who came together
To bring forth five more.
I hope we can learn to love,
and respect one another?
Me without you is a wondrous being
Me without you is anything I dream it to be
Me without you is a work in progress.
I know who I am with you.
With you,
I lack compassion
With you,
I cannot forgive past words
Lost time
betrayals of the heart.
With you,
I am lacking love for me and you.
I feel trapped
Resentment
Fear
Anger
It’s eating me alive.
I need space to see you
And me
To love you
And me
To witness you
And me
Become the divine beings
I know we are.
You without me is who you need to be
You without me as is free
As am I.
Without you
I Am free to be me.
I don’t know how to be with you
And free.
To allow
Your freedoms
As I need mine.
I don’t know how to love you
Respect you
See your oneness
And sovereignty.
I don’t know how
To let go of power and control
For that is all feel from you
when I am by your side.
I don’t know how
This will unfold
Anything
Must be
Better than this!
If we can be free
We free our children
Our parents
Our ancestors too.
If we separate in love
Respect each other
Support one another
grow in spirit
together or
Apart
We can do anything!
Who knows what the future holds
Who knows where this path will lead
All I know Is
I gave my heart and soul to you
Too much too soon
for too long.
Now, my heart is broken
my eyes are weeping
My mind feels clear then foggy.
The road ahead is rocky
We’ve never walked this path before,
much like our parenting journey
the way must be our own!
I wish you joy and happiness
And Maybe all the world
we couldn’t find together.
Two souls
Trapped In fear and trauma!
Is this the beginning of something special?
both united and apart
Only time will tell.
