Whether the ideas have slowed to a trickle or you’re just feeling curious and in the mood for a little reflection. Our weekly prompt is an invitation to ruminate on an idea and see what arises.

Be it poetry or prose you’d like to submit to us, or a journal entry for your eyes only, take a moment to pause at some point during your week and set your pen free.

This week I invite you to think about how we know when to let go?

It is a line that moves with every situation and every circumstance, but whether it’s knowing when to walk away from a job that no longer serves us, or knowing when a relationship is truly over, we each have to work out where to draw it.

Are there roles in your life that you have mastered but no longer love performing?

Do you have literal clothes that no longer fit but are wrapped up in identities of perceptions of yourself that you are not quite ready to let rest in the past?

What of old arguments that turn into grudges that can drive wedges between people? When should we let go, and why do we hold on to the need to be ‘right’?
