This morning we officially became part of the rapidly increasing Covid-19 statistics. Earlier this week my wife developed the classic symptoms — loss of taste and smell. I had a slight cough but no other classic signs, so we trekked off to the Clarence Faulkner Community Center to be tested. Then, we waited nervously for the results! This morning the text appeared. Sheri was positive. I was not for the third time since March!

We had masked up, tried to stay away from crowds, socially distanced ourselves and used tons of hand sanitizer. We have no idea where Sheri was infected.

Now the counting begins! When did Sheri’s symptoms begin? When can she return to work? When can she babysit for our granddaughters? For this “old” retiree it’s just another 10-day quarantine. We still consider ourselves so very fortunate!
