MICROPOETRY
little boats
“Vessels large may venture more, But little boats should keep near shore.”― Benjamin Franklin, The Way to Wealth
where the marram drifts. a wave along the shoreline
and the dunes shift. with an undulate of silence
sifting sands. for the night weeps. all the little
wooden boats beneath the water. a heavy weight of
sadness when the shadows walk. each drowning
unforgotten.
