MICRO POETRY
Poetry Is Patience
Micro poem: Embracing nothingness
I think
I’m in
some kind a
chamber of change
and rather than write
about it — I’ll just let it be
see what might become of me
on the other side, wide open arms
— lovingly — staring into the blank sea.

In dedication to my friend, Barry Dawson Jr. IV
For me, writing poetry is a mindful act, a way of steeping in the present moment; a practice in self-compassion; a conduit for a deeper connection with nature. Essentially, writing poetry is a mindful enactment.
I’ve created this list to host my ongoing exploration of this relationship between presence and poetry writing.
