The Tartan Ribbon
Made by gentle hands

My eyes locked upon a
color photograph that survived,
a tartan ribbon,
so simple,
so divine,
and I considered the gentle hands
that weaved and designed
it’s majesty to history.
I know the photographer’s name —
Maxwell —
but not from whence the fabric came,
nor the identity of the soul
who tied the bow
onto…
