When The Skies Call

to bear the soul

Humbling Celestial Vastness — The Pelican Nebula. A mesmerizing deep-space view of the Pelican Nebula, displaying a vibrant interplay of glowing gas clouds in shades of teal, orange, and dark interstellar dust amidst dots of countless stars.

Slip through my fingers
in coarse grains of seconds split — ignored
beguiling lures warped fine, to space-time unknown.

Appeased high — tonight, my undulated attention
swayed to forget — the many mouths hungry
and massacres annihilated.

Sing to me the songs of stellar — poise
unruffled, nullifying burning skies
pledged to, by one of onus revered.

from eons before to epochs after,
we bring — change, so to move
frenzied points, hurried in — time — unborn.
