Nothing transports you more than a story well told by a passionate speaker.

Yesterday, at the Nhack launch event in Stockholm we got to travel all the way from the Nordics to the Great Wall of China.

The Swedish startup hub SUP46 was the first stop on a road show that will then go to Norway, Denmark and Finland.

The purpose of the event was three fold:

  • Berit Behring, CEO for Danskebank Sweden shaded light on Danskebank’s positioning when it comes to supporting the nordic startup ecosystem.
  • Country Manager Stina Liland and Project Manager Agnes Malm presented The Hub platform as the ultimate ressource for startups’growth.
  • And last but certainely not least, the Nhack project was introduced by partner Jon Eivind Stø.

Nhack’s goal and role is to propel Nordic startups in China. To accompany them through the cultural, administrative and business twists and turns that can and will appear along the way. The accelerator, which was launched earlier this year and is already recruiting its second cohort, focuses on getting prototypes out and paid customers. Just like the ecosystem it thrives in, it takes its startups into the fast lane, avoiding the inevitable pitfalls of doing this alone on the way.

This was verified when listening to the founders of Blueye, MovieMask and Playpulse, three Norwegian startups from the first cohort, impeccably pitching their product and sharing their own Chinese experience.

While the speakers and guests mingled later on, we chatted with Erling Magnus Solheim, Playpulse VP who shared his admiration for Chris Rynning’s, Nhack’s co funder, “amazing energy and opportunity recognition skills”. He also praised Nhack’s “magnificent network in addition to experience and capacity to give Scandinavian tech companies a flying start in Asia (…) and “the proactive approach from the Nhack team to make things happen” and would recommend others to apply.

Interested? You can apply to Nhack’s second cohort here, read more about The Hub there and attend the Norwegian, Danish and Finish events coming up very soon!
