We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: digitalising is great but in a world of thumbs up, real handshakes are kings.
Every year KTH Royal Institute of Technology organises Scandinavia’s largest career fair in the field of engineering and architecture: THS Armada.
This year, The Hub and a great batch of Startups currently recruiting on our platform will be among the 170+ companies attending the 2 day event on the 21st and 22nd of November.
We asked Aaron CEO at Abail and Oscar Uribe founder and CEO of Ungapped about their expectations.
First can you tell us a bit about what you do?
Aaron: Aibl is a plug-and-play solution that uses machine learning to maximise conversion and minimise churn. We help companies increase their customer value by analyzing historical customer data and providing a toolkit to automatically personalize customer communication and in-app experiences based on learned insights.
Oscar: Ungapped is a fully integrated platform with tools for email campaigns, newsletters, forms, surveys, and SMS marketing.
What position are you looking to fill?
Oscar: Potential candidates for internships right away and for future employment later on. We’re currently looking for interns in dev, sales and marketing. But will probably look for permanent positions before the summer.
Aaron: A machine learning engineering position. We are looking for with a strong academic background in computer science or machine learning, who has industry experience working with large datasets.
What is the little extra a face to face meeting brings?
Aaron: As we are a small team, cultural fit is something we care about greatly. A face-to-face meeting provides the opportunity to better assess this aspect.
Oscar: You get to know the persons passion and interests in a way you can’t read from a CV.
Best tip to stand out as an applicant?
Aaron: Be able to discuss and cite projects involving machine learning that you have worked on in the past.
Oscar: Show us what you really want to do not what you think the potential employer wants. If you’re passionate about something you should work with that, don’t settle for something else just because that’s what’s available.
