Get some pumpkins for spooky season!!

Boo! October is officially the spooky season, the time of year we begin to see our stores fill with Halloween decorations, candy, and costumes. People anxiously begin preparing plans and picking out costumes, whether it be for a family, a group of friends, or ourselves.

If you are looking for a fun Halloween or Fall Festival outing, try these.

•Fall Family Festival, at Ingleside Baptist Church on October 16, from 5:30–8:00 PM

•Trunk or Treat, at Northway Church on October 28, from 4:00–6:00 PM

•Haunted Montrose, every Friday-Saturday during October (from 7:00–11:00 PM), and every Sunday during October along with Halloween day (from 7:00–10:00 PM)

•Corn Maze, at Lanes Southern Orchards, from October 2-October 31 during open hours

•Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Macon, October 31, from 4:00–7:00 PM

•Halloween Masquerade Costume Ball Event, at the Loyal Order of Moose, from November 1st at 6:00 PM — Saturday November 2 at 12:00 AM

•A Very Harry Halloween in Macon, at Northside Cheers, at 6:00 PM

•BZKZ Halloween Show, at Amici in Macon, GA, from 9:00–11:00 PM

•Halloween Party, at Capitol Cycle Company, from 9:30 AM — 3:00 PM

•Trek or Treat, on October 26, at Bass Pro Shops in Macon, at 8:00 AM

For many American children, it is an opportunity to be whoever and whatever they want to be for a night — along with getting free candy! For others, such as teens or adults, it is a night filled with scares, costume contests, and Halloween parties. Other’s Halloween may look like any other typical night, with many turning their porch lights off so that trick-or-treaters will know to avoid knocking on their door. This could be for religious reasons, or simply because they are choosing not to participate. Remember to respect other people for this holiday, and make sure you are safe.
