With only a few days left before the holiday break, teachers and students are excited for time off from school and are looking forward to their own style of observing the holidays.

“My favorite Christmas tradition actually involves Ms. Fincher,” Mrs. Wright said. “We do Fincher’s Barbecue every Christmas Eve at my mom’s house, and I love doing that.”

Mrs. Hulgan looks forward to going to her mother’s house for Christmas every year, she said.
“I’ve been with my mother every year since I was born. We usually have around 17 people crammed into my mother’s house. and we all stay together for two or three days.”

Saige Lumpkin, a tenth grader, plays white elephant for Christmas, which is a fun gift exchange game. She will be spending Christmas in the mountains.

Both Mrs. Hulgan and Mrs. Wright it seems like the semester has flown by.

Mrs. Hulgan shared that “the school year is like a slide…you climb up the ladder to the top, then you slide down to the bottom.”

Mrs. Wright said she is excited for this semester to end so the next one can start.

Although finals start tomorrow, which can be stressful for students and staff, both Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Hulgan are excited for Christmas. The break will be good for everybody to relax and get ready for the next semester.
