‘I use my real name on the internet’, Part 2
There’s a Wikipedia article that’s special to me. I put many volunteer hours into co-writing it with other Wikipedia editors whose names I don’t know. I use my real name on the internet, though the Wikipedia editors with whom I’ve crossed paths generally don’t.
“United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack” is over 20,000 words — not quite “a book,” but halfway there. Plus nearly 800 footnotes.
Come to think of it, it would have been an interesting experiment to print and distribute it as a booklet, just to see if the reception were any different.
The committee itself produced a final report (845 pages) that’s good reading too. It shares what it learned about the Capitol attack after interviewing a thousand witnesses and reviewing a million documents.
