Why Does the Queen of England Always Wear a Hat?
It’s not just fashion. It has long been considered inappropriate for the reigning monarch to be bare headed in public. On top of that, when she was growing up, women still covered their hair. Trust me, they did. My grandmother covered and my mother did until I was about five.
As the queen is always formal in public, she always wears a hat.
