The 5 min Bruschetta!

It was a regular Sunday till 2 of my close friends decided to drop by to meet the little one! Also too much beer was had in the afternoon and the hangover was setting in. Food came-a-callin’ and all the boys wanted was something bread-y. I was in NO MOOD to make an elaborate dish (even an omelette was an effort, c’mon its a Sunday, gimme a break!), so I whipped up some quick bruschettas which were an INSTANT HIT.

Don’t they look DEELISH!

Ingredients:

5–6 readymade chilli garlic dried toasts

100 gms cherry tomatoes

4–5 basil leaves

1 tsp salt

2 tablespoons oil

a pinch of oregano seasoning

Method:

  1. Cut tomatoes and basil into small equal pieces.
  2. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix
  3. Spread on dried toast and serve!

Pro Tip:

Make this mixture fresh, do not store. The tomato starts to lose its water and the entire experience is one soggy fest!
