Walls of attention-starved addicts,
eyes that once looked to the heavens in wonder,
now permanently locked downward to where
always instant messages of fear & utmost certainty
bury truth & substance under middle pages & passages
that tend to get ignored when truth & experience
are made to fit in
the palm of somebody else’s hand
