Enhancing Technology Skills
Our last and final blog will be more of a in dephon how technology has taken over the educational platform. Aside from schools using technology more to keep the regulation of school going it’s time we analyze why and the benefits of technology. Aside from the educational platform technology asbeen taking over society by limiting in-person taks/Jobs. Not only does enhancing students technology benefit them for school purposes but it also prepares them for technology in society such as the way it will operate and their careers. For example,According to Pew Research Center “ Moreover, there is growing anxiety that technology developments on the near horizon will crush the jobs of the millions who drive cars and trucks, analyze medical tests and data,from middle management chores, dispense medicine , trade stocks and evaluate markets, fighton battlefields, perform government functions and even replace those who program software — that is, the creators of algorithms”. What this tells us is that society is moving more depending on technology and using it to replace humans for better efficiency and production. We can also make a conclusion that more jobs will be available but with the usage of technology and experience must be presented so companies will know you will benefit with their product. In addition to the future of jobs, enhancing technology skills can be seen as a way for kids to learn at their own pace, keeps them engaged, a platform with more resources and necessary for the real world according to Emma Cullen. To support this and referencing back to Pew Research Center it states “ Jobholders themselves have internalized this insight: A 2016 Pew Research Center survey, “The State of American Jobs” found that 87% of workers believe it will be essential for them to get training and develop new job skills throughout their work life in order to keep up with changes in the workplace.
As you can see technology is relevant in today’s society and is a big key in the economy. Not being able to inform kids about the importance of technology can hold them back on different opportunities that require technology usage and can prevent them from being advanced. The last quote believed to be actual people in today’s society who feel as it would be essential for enhancing their technology skills which would have to start and require schools and parents to take actions first and not let their kids fall behind.
