Experience of Virtually Education

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to run a university or to be a student in a university from home ? As a student here at the University of Buffalo I was able to experience the Covid-19 Pandemic which forced many universities to take proper precaution and cancel all in person activity which resulted in full virtually due to its outrage of spread and no solution for this has been created. This consists of all my classes being switched online where my time for the class might not be set, work is given throughout the weeks and I am/was expecting to complete it. To attend office hours for my classes and apportionment of a set time is scheduled for so that myself and others can communicate with the professor virtually. Selected classes conducted in person classes but was very limited which resulted in smaller class sizes, proper protocols such as mask and social distancing etc. This change caused me to become more aware in checking my emails and syllabus for deadlines and making sure I’m communicated and up to date so I’m not behind. This switch had delayed everything causing new lessons to be taught, re range of class schedule and times. I personally feel as this is a more productive way to attend schools with enough flexibility.

Now that you have seen how this pandemic has affected not only me but every other student who attends school whether it might be College , Highschool , middle school, have all been forced to continue our education remotely and adjust to these changes. Many people might have been upset about these changes but some schools find this change beneficial some ways in which some schools insist on keeping things virtually going forward, not all will be virtually but some will. Considering the importance and usage of technology schools find this change to be easy due to the different technology that is accessible and easy for both students and staff to navigate by. If schools want to continue this procedure for the future this will require more knowledge on how to use technology at a younger age such as elementary school in order for them to be familiar and have no issues going forward with technology while pursuing their education at the same time. Google classroom , Google Drive , Zoom , Schools official domain, Blackboard and etc are all technology based software available to use for students to learn and for staff to teach education swiftly.
