Dan 1. — New Delhi
They landed in Delhi at 5am local time. Indira Gandhi Airport, the fog outside, fog and inside. Carpets everywhere. The first time we find the Indian bureaucracy and Pakistanis with briefcase.
We exchanged Eure by an unfavorable exchange rate and rushed exit Gate4 where we were met with mister, of course, with a board with our names.
The ride to the hotel Livasa Inn through the fog and the loony traffic in Delhi. There are no rules, right of way even traffic lights. All trumpets as abnormal. Tata car, plastered with stickers Krishna.
They brought to the hotel, again the Indian bureaucracy, forms and signing all. Jet lag caught up with us and we immediately knocked to bed until about 4 in the afternoon. Meanwhile, on the street, a man on a bicycle yelling and selling something.
We're going out to find a prepaid card for mobile, when it - Indian bureaucracy! For prepaid SIM card again form, imaging and photocopying passports. We arranged a tour for the next few days, we rented a car with a Hindu who will drive us to Agra and Jaipur and back to Delhi, all together about 220 €.
We sit on the Tuk-Tuk us through absolute chaos goes to the Red Fort which was already closed so we prošunjali nearby streets where they offered us all sorts of things, from USB from 32 Gb to the saree's. We found what looked like a restaurant but more like a fast food newsstand where you can sit on the bench with a brass tin tables. We ate Masala something (some pancake with spicy potatoes and two sauces), all of 80 rupees.
Let's continue the same end, everyone still rushing, in the streets of some mini temples are covered with pictures and flowers where all stop by to pray. It was like ok place to push a break because there are so many people who go ☺ Here we are 16 million people spotted Tuk-Tukistu who drove us in that part but we hijacked by some Hindus. First stop the next and back to the hotel.
In the end we were a bit izblejali, there are some Krishna prayer and few stalls with fresh squeezed oranges.
Now sleep, go to HBO Harry Potter and tomorrow rising in 7 and ride to Agra!
And 2. - Agra
8am. Time to go to Agra. After us comes our Hindu driver, who takes us in a short tour of New Delhi. Gate of India, the former Presidential Palace, the soldiers who practice ceremonial march on the occasion of Republic Day. We'll be back in Delhi 26.1. and will attend the ceremony.
Today, ahead of time, about 200 km that we will move in about 5 hours. Disaster! The highway is full of everything - cows, trucks, tuk Tukovi, crazy Indians, our driver and everyone else constantly trumpet. On each vehicle inscription Please Blow Horn. We make the first push pause and decide to freshen freshly squeezed fruit juice. Is it fresh and how much will discover tonight at the hotel, but it definitely had a funny taste. Oh, these are just some savory spices, to console ourselves. At the same pit stop, collected my first fans - is how uncomfortable stare.
Next stop Akbarov grave. Huge, impressive building. Ripped us for input - non Indian residents pay 10 times the cost of entry!
Our adventure to Agri continues at the next rate happened to us is a unique experience. Our taxi jumped a monkey, and we should like to take a picture with him. Over painting intrigued us is that we first close-up view monkey blast. It has the same shape as of man, only smaller ... but in some people the situation is not so fabulous, and would have had to be to come here to India and take pride in the fact that they endowed by monkeys.
We arrive in Agra and go to see the Taj Mahal. The first look is something that lures sigh. One of the seven wonders of the world justifies this title. No wonder that for such perfection took 22 years to build. Of course, we took pictures in those tourist poses. Constantly comment on how it would be good to light a cigarette, but in vain No Smoking in force.
We go and do masonry workshops descendants of the architect who built the Taj Mahal, where we explain the techniques of making and letting us be ourselves and try their hand at carving. Introduces us to the part where we sell souvenirs and nuisance us to buy something. I barely got away.
We arrive at the hotel Chrystal Retreat, which is ok, but again bureaucracy. Bukavlno us 20 times asking if we needed anything, whether you want a beer or something to eat.
We go to the city in the Indian restaurant. We eat, of course, traditional food, some spinach and cheese, which was ok, and something like hazelnut puree with cheese, which was just ok. The best was the Indian bread and beer, of course Kingfisher. Dinner 800 Rupees. We return to the hotel, go to the roof to the restaurant drink Lassi, unfortunately not BANG. Tear banana and mango and so is our fruit yoghurt.
Day 3 - Jaipur, the first part
The morning began a mini flood. We kept the jacket in the window which is a condensed amount of water and to the right on our jackets and some other things. Outside, the fog does not see absolutely nothing! We are late departing because the hotel takes half an hour to make an omelet.
We're moving in the direction of "Ghost Town" - Fatehpur Sikri. It is a capital of Morgul dynasty for some centuries, but they had to leave and set up a new city - Agra, and all because their drinking water is not too been drinking. The city looks really nice all the way, and the fog this morning helped to look totally spooky. Anywayz, photos will be completely good.
We drive further to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan where they maharadže.Put there looks better than from Delhi to Agra, but it was considerably more cows on the road. Of course, everyone here drive like crazy. After xyz kilometers fog was still thick we zakuntali, we wake up in Rajasthan where more scorching sun.
First stop - City Palace in Jaipur-in. Here they live current Maharaja, as well as several previous ones. Maharaja has one daughter who married a court of drivers. The driver seems to be a spender and sales Radziņa possessions that bring back some of the debts, it breaks daughter and a divorce from him. Someone smart will probably burn Indian soap opera of this and take cash from distribution in Serbia. Palace btw, as ☺
In addition to the City Palace is to Jantar Mantar, the old observatory, which was a hit! Old instruments for measuring time, kalndari, stars, horoscopes, etc.. Large space perfect for bleating after work! (Who loves course)
Jaipur is definitely the cheapest place so far, even pressed orange almost 3 times cheaper. John bought the shoes.
Hotel Krishna Palace, completely gotivan. Fully in India like, kičerica but gotivan. Scoff at the restaurant on the roof, with a view to ok place, all the veggy. Grub finish some really nice things, but here they should be more about an hour to prepare, although apart from us there was nobody else in the restaurant.
Day 4 - Jaipur, part and back to Delhi
They woke up in the Krishna Palace, breakfast cornflakes, toast with nutella and coffee that is not coffee. Bookirali We stayed 2 nights and the only one, we were not charged for the second night. Yeii;) The driver is waiting for us, we can start on the rest of the city to look at Jaipur. We stop in front of the "windy palace" aka The Wind Palace. You can not enter but we Photographed outside. Maharaja built it for the court ladies that could be uncovered to observe festivals and parades in the streets.
We continue, we drive to the "water palace" aka The Water Palace. this is the palace on a small island on the water and is not open to tourists yet. It's made to Rajah iscoolirao the year because there is still no electricity and no air conditioning.
Next stop - Amber Palace. It is a palace on the hill above the Jaipur and until it can be reached on an elephant or on foot. Red elephant was at least an hour long and cost 900 Gandhi for two people so we went step by step. Coefficient of murder - fourth ascent to Njegos on Lovcen ☺ The palace is the temple of the goddess Shiloh and goomila gotivnih terrace and terraces according to bleating. At the foot of the garden in Kojo are harbored Shafran, the more it does not grow here. The entrance to the Amber palace is 200 Gandhi. Here we had the first good coffee in India.
Hardly be dragged back to Delhi, checked the the hotel and went to agencies that apply for the rest of the plane tickets. Going out in the end to find some food and we come to a totally really nice street - Ajmal Khan Road that we bar a little improved impression of Delhi as it is not an absolute ludara as the rest of the city. A bunch of shops and several small restaurants, plus an obligatory characters who try to sell you all sorts of nonsense. Never before had we not so many people in one place is not offered by USB 64Gb, belt and napkins. Batteries in Cannon almost empty, we bought local Power Cell battery for 10 Gandhi.
