What do you do?

It is a good question. As a UX designer, I do things like research, analysis, prototype, articulating, communicating, little bit of coding and mentoring but to simplify — “I design solutions which blend with technology to solve people’s everyday problems”.

Can you tell us about the path you took to get where you are now?

Actually, I am a self taught person like many others in this field. I respect and believe the subject of design is more than a profession. It is a practice and mindset that one can apply to solve problems in every aspect of life. Observing > Learning > Sharing, these three activities I followed in my experience.

How do you stay up to date with trends in the field of UX and in the industry you are in?

Attending events; meeting people; following mentors and leaders in this space.

Top 5 applications or tools that you use as part of work.

Evernote; Google; Illustrator; Sketch; Invision.

My home office

What does your typical day look like? How do you structure it?

  • Morning: The first hour of any day starts with checking my feeds(emails, calendar, social)
  • Day: Activities related to work
  • Evening: Browsing blogs and tech sites to learn/observe things that are happening on other side of the world.

Why do you do what you do? What makes everything worth it?

The job is an activity which is combination of thinking > doing > testing and the result will lead to a completeness and satisfaction of being part of a solution.

What is the greatest piece of advice /wisdom you ever received?

There is no such thing as “you have completed the design”

What advice would you give to a junior designer or someone aspiring to become a UX Designer?

Develop your convincing, positive argument, articulating and rational thinking skills.
