We would love to know about an incredible entrepreneur like you, who is doing exceptional work in her niche. Please tell us in detail about yourself and your work.

Thanks so much! Well, first and foremost, I’m a woman who believes we all deserve to feel good in our bodies. I believe that our bodies are intelligent and have a way of healing themselves and that we have way more power over our health than most people realize. My goal is to help bring awareness around that and empower people to be healthy, feel good, and live even better. As a chiropractic doctor, yoga instructor, and serial entrepreneur, I work with people in many ways but mainly through the virtual world inside my company, The YOGA+ Method.

Please throw some light on the workings of your company’ the YOGA+ Method’. What does it entail?

The YOGA+ Method is a way to help people feel better in their bodies and lives by uniting science and soul. We have a 12- week program specifically for women with lower back pain, a monthly membership online movement studio, and a holistic guide to managing pain naturally that will be launching this summer!

Please tell us about the current services you are offering to your clients.

Inside The YOGA+ Method, we have a few offerings. We have a 12-week program to Build a Resilient Lower Back. This program helps women use movement, mindfulness, and holistic healing practices to not only get out of low back pain but to build resiliency and prevent future injuries. We want you to age gracefully and enjoy life without having your lower back holding you back from doing the things you love. We also offer an online movement studio called The YOGA+ Online Studio, a virtual movement, meditation, yoga, and rehab platform where you can take classes whenever and wherever. This summer, we will be launching our third offering, The YOGA+ Method Pain Protocol, an online guide to managing pain naturally. In this guide, we focus on nutrition, mindset, mindfulness, movement, and lifestyle factors that are evidence-based yet natural so you can manage your pain without the side effects of pharmaceuticals.

As a busy entrepreneur, how do you maintain a balance between your work life and your personal life?

Sunshine, meditation, and tracking my menstrual cycle. The sun is an excellent little energy and mood boost, meditation helps me calm my nervous system during the busy seasons of life and connects to my inner wisdom, and tracking my cycle has been huge in preventing burnout. I often felt overwhelmed or burned out and would have to show up for a live interview and pretend like I wasn’t exhausted on the inside. Once I started tracking my cycle and honoring the natural seasons of life, my work life has been in such a flow state, and work-life balance has been much easier to manage. Times of my cycle that I have higher energy due to hormones, I take full advantage of those times. During the bleeding phase, I allow myself to slow down, hibernate a bit, and I no longer book any meetings, interviews, or live events during this phase. Working with my cycle and my hormones has been a game-changer for me.

What treatments and diagnostic tools do you have experience in?

As a licensed and practicing chiropractor, I am certified in prenatal chiropractic care through Webster certification. I am also trained in functional range conditioning, which is movement and mobility training. I also hold a certificate in prenatal yoga on top of my 200-hour yoga teacher training. I have a lot of experience working with chronic pain, particularly women with low back pain.
