This library science course was very interesting from week 1. We learned a variety of stuff. From learning how to form research questions to how to use and analyze electronic books. What was intriguing to me the most was the amount of information that we do not have access to or have to pay a certain amount of money just to receive the information. One of the craziest series of events that focused on gaining access to information was the things Aaron Swhartz went through just to try and fight this. It was astonishing to discover that these big corporations wanted millions of dollars to open access this information that “we the people” need in our perspective educational studies. My biggest takeaway from this course is, nothing in life is free, even if you deserve to have. Information to better our knowledge and understanding of material is not free, even if you desperately need it.

I was exposed to a lot of material that i did not use much in my college tenure. Electronic books, ZSR, medium, etc was things i did not use or did not use much over my 3 years of college. Now that i use some of these resources and learn the ins and outs of how to navigate through them, i wish i would have learned to use this tools beginning of my freshman year. Just being able to track and locate good credible information make papers that much simpler and easier to outline. Zsr is such a big resource that you can pretty much find any amount of information you want from old things to very recent information .

This course was a pleasure to be a part of but if there was one thing i would change, it would be just having more work that was relatable to things that are going on in society today. I think by doing that, it would have led to even more discussion just because we are more knowledgeable on thing that go on in our time from. Also another thing i would change is just having more of a variety of things across all topics. We could have even found a way to do research on music. There was not a lot wrong with this class because it was great learning environment and people in the class were very interactive.

My narrative on library science has changed ever since i decided to take this course. Being exposed to some of the ideas and resources this course have you dive in, is beneficial in being an effective college students.
