On February 1st, 2016, New College’s official Black History Month Planning Committee launched the semester off to a great start, inviting Liberian born, Miami based rapper and singer-songwriter SEKAJIPO. His performance rocked New College, and we captured as much of the magic as possible in the photo gallery below:

SEKAJIPO (right) lays down the rhythm for the Planning Committee to hit the assist, as student Miles Iton (left) gave an impromptu freestyle during the set.
The crowd also couldn’t wait to join in, as SEKAJIPO preps the stage for student Tim Manning (left) to jam out.
SEKAJIPO playing his tunes with the homeboy Rob holding down the stage behind.
The always-essential tea intermission, of course.
SEKAJIPO and Tim create a beat live on stage with a looper, soul sounds and dopeness.
SEKAJIPO shares a laugh onstage freestyling with Miles after shots get fired at FAFSA.
SEKAJIPO effortlessly sung from the heart, spit blistering verses and even found time for some guitar solos.
The crowd gathered on Z-Green for the excellent performance and encore that followed.
