All of us live on Earth but how many of us do feel earthed? This read is an examination of one’s thoughtfulness of living daylight simply and conscious. Oh, on earth. To live in simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. You have forgotten the sun.

You are waking up to Instagram when sunlight pierces through your glass window. The sun is kept aside having your phone screen as the occupant in your mind. You are pushing away Vitamin D and the strength which boosts your mental health. You cannot jab sunscreen all of over your face to protect yourself from your phone light, can you?

By the way, the American Academy of Ophthalmology tells us “it’s not necessary to spend money on special eyewear for computer use.” An assistant professor, Amir Mohsenin, M.D, Ph.D in visual science says, “There is no evidence that blue light glasses help.” You head to your bathroom and you use products of waste. You pick up your toothbrush. Just before you recall whether is it Oral B or not, think about how many you have thrown away until this morning. Plastic grows easily but with a lot of effort. Bamboo is easily grown just like that. You use plastic and we’ll run out of bamboos and the timeless Neem sticks. You are feeding plastic to the soil which nourishes you. So the next time, pick up a bamboo toothbrush. You can shower more than 4 times rather than buying a set of plastic toothbrushes which have used 22 gallons of water.

Look at your baby picture, your skin is smooth like rolled over cookie dough. Go to your garden or visit mylittlemoppet for your soap mixture. Spending some time in your garden is a means of feeling earthed. Discard your plastic bath products and wear the earth’s skin. You can store the herbs in existing plastic containers though.

For the ladies, your secret plastic pads and menstrual cups (Ouch!) take 500+ years to decompose. How nice will it be to fasten cotton cloth instead of those prickly plastic pads? Your money is saved buying just a couple of Ecofemme ‘s which will last for 5 years. You’re sweet to support the local artisans’ too! Your wardrobe has Marks & Spencer’s, lifestyle, Manyavar, Amazon and what not! Sum up all your clothes and you should know, each piece you own has ticked the World Poverty Clock to showing us 5% of the Indian population is living in extreme poverty. Your purple velvet crop top has used the amount of water I’m capable of drinking for 900 days. Taking away your right to own or hold your authenticity is not what is propelled here but we need to be aware that there are enough clothes many oceans can wear. Hold up exciting garage sales, giveaways, and scroll on websites selling second- hand clothes. If you look, you will say ‘Oh I’m not sorry, Max!’ I will find bags sown of your creative tastes interesting than the Double G or C etched on them any day. Carrying an imperfection is brave and it is okay to sling on one with teeny holes or a punched zip.

Jesus sees a topography of ant files moving impatiently and lit. On some days Mercedes’ collide and why have you still not thought about using public transport? The other Audi of yours emits 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. We have transacted enough sadness to air gooey.

These amendments are not just to make the five elements of the earth fall for you. You became conscious, attentive and one with the earth. You little speck have let in the vast pervade within you. By buying bamboo toothbrushes, clay cookware, handcrafted clothes, we are giving meaning to hand done. Sharing clothes, connecting with an audience, traveling by a share auto and much more has been giving us a leeway to establish relationships and express our gratitude. You unraveled the science of justice and fairness for any kind of life on this planet. You have become a helpful person and a responsible one. You treat a hungry kid and an injured elephant as equals. You are campaigning, volunteering, and educating people to protect life and make their quality of living a better experience. You are progressing the field of Epigenetics in Mental health, the role of climate and its influence on the mental state of the individual. You are telling us to maintain balance within and without.

You are making rain time to eat your ice cream, to help trees grow and harvest that rain water. You are an offering to the ecology and it’s processes out there. You have become one who chooses wisely. You are doing your best and you will in times of disasters. You are that cool Donald waiter who is serving bottomless because you never run out of resources. You are preventing disease and babies will be fed well. You signed a petition for the Dibang Valley hydroelectric power project. You cared for the Cheetah your eyes fell upon that social media post. You are willing to preserve the diversity of species.

Soil lovers like Srinti and Yamini are thoughtfully telling all of us to wave up for nature and illustrate the earth.

From Songstotheearthweseek

You personify the lover to being the sun. Flapping your eyelids while on the evening Kaveri Express, you make your own poetic devices out of the evening breeze, which makes your hair stand barely for seconds. Tasting what clean air is at the pit of your throat, you are reminding all of us what a safe place the earth is. Your activities build a community of interest. You are showing us how many people have signed up to make a difference to inspire more.

“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.” — David Attenborough, An English Broadcaster & a Natural Historian
