How The Inner Observer Can Help You Grow
Learn practical insights for personal growth in under 5 minutes.
What is The Inner Observer?
The “inner observer” is the neutral, objective, non-judgmental part of ourselves that we can use to examine our thoughts, our behaviors, and the world around us.
It’s like stepping outside of ourselves and watching our life as if it were a movie so that we can see things from another perspective without bias or attachment and hopefully get closer to the truth.
Developing the ability to observe ourselves and others without judgment or bias can help foster a life of growth, health, and well-being that otherwise wouldn’t be available to us.
We can access our inner observer through cerebral methods like mindfulness meditation and prayer, as well as through physical exercises like breathwork and yoga.
But we’re all different. Some methods might work for some people, while other people might benefit from experiencing something completely different.
That’s why it’s important for us to expose ourselves to as many ideas as possible so that we can find out what works for us. Together, we’ll explore a variety of topics that fall into four main pillars of health:
- Physical Health: how we act and the behaviors we can implement to improve our bodily health, such as diet and exercise.
- Mental Health: how we think, including our thoughts, our perspectives, our states of mind, and various types of therapies that can help.
- Emotional Health: how we feel about ourselves and others, and how we can learn to regulate our emotions.
- Spiritual Health: how we connect with our world and commit to something greater than ourselves to develop a deeper sense of purpose.
Bringing It All Together
All four pillars of health are connected and often affect one other. For example, if our physical health is out of balance, it can negatively impact our overall sense of well-being.
Throughout our journey, we’ll dive into new insights that promote health and well-being, ranging anywhere from tips on how to get great sleep, to navigating the complex labyrinth of dream analysis.
