TIS Weekly (#30): Add, Vote, Subscribe — It Makes The Innovation Station Better For You

All the best, friends of innovation, friends of TIS! May 2016 be a good year for you. During the last 6 months we’ve been building TIS together with you. Can we thank you for that? Thanks all! You are an international bunch, you come from 146 countries, we think that’s impressive! But it seems you haven’t all seen your new profile pages on TIS yet and I think you should! Because thanks to your new profile page you now have your own TIS homepage, where you collect the videos you add and upvote and where you find the videos of your favorite channels. Have a look, I tell you in this newsletter what you find over there and why adding, voting and subscribing is important!

Help us build the best collection!
You know, you all help us realize how many inspirational videos on innovation there are around. And how few we’ve seen … There’s already 710 videos on innovation in the TIS database and we know this is only the beginning. So keep on adding, friends! By the way, adding videos to TIS is a way of bookmarking too. When you look at your TIS profile page, you can always find your added videos back over there!

When there’s a lot of videos, like on TIS, you need ways to select the best. One of the ways to do that is to see what others think and like. You can sort most popular videos for example, videos with the most votes. So by voting for the videos you like, you help us and you help others. And you help yourself by the way, because voting is a way of bookmarking too. Look at your profile page and see which videos you voted on.

Personalize TIS!
We at TIS are generalists, we like a lot. But we understand that that may not be the case for everyone. So that’s why we let you select the channels or themes you want to follow. So when you subscribe for example to the themes ‘energy’ and ‘robots’ under ‘subscribed’ on your profile page, you only find videos there from those channels. And you can make the selection of subscribed channels on your profile page too. Thanks to the possibility to choose one of the selections ‘added’, ‘upvoted’ and ‘subscribed’, your profile page is now your personal TIS homepage. Check it out!
