The Olympics have started! As big fans of innovation we look forward to see what new sports tech has made it into the games. Tech that can change the game completely or enhance fan experience. Here are some great examples of new tech that will make sports faster, stronger and better.

Sports
Faster

Some disciplines in sports are mainly about speed. And you’re probably thinking about Formula 1 or athletics right now. However, this tech from SAP focuses on equestrian sports. Riders can analyze their race in detail, from the heart rate of rider & horse and position in the race to current speed.

Sports
Stronger

Some inventions don’t focus on making the athlete stronger, but on the materials they use. Take a look at the D3O Protective Material that is engineered to be soft and flexible in standard conditions, but will change to a vast form on impact! Amazing!

Sports
Better

An athlete doesn’t just get better by hours and hours of training, but also by extensive analysis of his performance to see what small details he can improve on! For soccer players this now has become much easier with Beyond Sports, who can make a match available in Virtual Reality!

Sports
Babies?

Okay, all seriousness aside — this is just an entertaining video of the Caracas Soccer Academy in which unborn babies play soccer. Start early ;)
