On the Horizon
Going deeper has meant embracing new possibilities as we explore potential ecosystems and landscapes. Over the past year, Bridge Builders Collaborative has engaged in different initiatives to gather information and understanding. Two informative reports capture systems mapping in the field of biofield science and subtle energy and an alternative practitioner marketplace analysis. Therefore, I wanted to share them with readers interested exploring the new horizons.
First, a group of stakeholders wanted to create a systems mapping of biofield science and healing including research, modalities, practitioners, education and, policy. As a result, Subtle Energy and Biofield Healing: Evidence, Pracrice, & Future Direction was generated. As stated in the report, “In 2019, the Consciousness and Healing Initiative (with support from the Walker Family Foundation, the Emerald Gate Foundation, and Tom Dingledine) embarked on a systems change endeavor to assess and advance the field of subtle energy healing and biofield science. The goals were to 1) identify the stakeholders, assets, opportunities, challenges, and levers for change in the subtle energy and biofield science and healing domain, and 2) provide guidance for making that system more robust, coherent, connected, and evidence based. These goals are in service to reducing suffering from chronic disease and mental illness, expanding and improving the overall mainstream healthcare system, and enhancing personal wellness practices for improved societal health.”
Second, we had the opportunity to engage a group of MBA students from the Michigan Ross Business School to analyze the Alternative Practitioner Marketplace. As investors, we wanted an analysis of the landscape of the emerging marketplaces, which are attempting to provide accessibility for clients seeking providers of different modalities and educate consumers about non-traditional healing approaches in healthcare.
