Relationships are bonds of love, that keep people together.

The idea of friendship can become complicated. There needs to be a healthy balance of love and commitment.

Relationships are important to our emotional well being. These

experiences shape and mold our character. Friendship is an interesting kind of love. It is a love that is an unconditional acceptance of the person for who they are and sometimes in spite of who they are.

In friendship one seeks to encourage, empower and challenge them to grow and become the best versions of themselves.

Here are some qualities of a true friend

1. Acceptance

We all need some one we can trust. Someone around whom we can be ourselves, be silly, goofy, weird. It is necessary to have a friend to share our secrets with , some one who always comes to our defense and does not gossip or talk about us behind our backs.

2. Respect

Your true friends won’t always agree with you (Who does?) but they will always welcome your opinion. Your best friend will not intentionally blow up your spot just to make themselves look better. They will take your thoughts and feelings in consideration.

3. Forgiveness

A best friend understands that no one is perfect. We all have flaws. Our friends do not judge our mistakes, do not put us down, will build us up, speak the truth in love and correct us when we are wrong. It will be hard to maintain friendship, if we hold on to grudges against each other.

4. Support

They will encourages you through triumphs, defeats, set backs, disappointments and problems. Your true friends will always have your back irrespective of the situation. Without the encouragement of our friends we wouldn’t be able to accomplish the borderline-dangerous but provocatively fun things on our bucket lists.

5. Dependable

No matter how far you’ve gone, you can depend on them to come through for you during stressful and unpredictable times. They care about you, and will see to it that you get back up again.

6. Listener

They will always make time for you, and give you a safe place to privately vent out your pain, and frustrations.

They not only listen to you but also give you helpful, practical advice to follow, in times of uncertainty, and emotional distress.

7. Make you feel better

Greeting you with kettle corn, red box movies just because they know that they are your favorites. From bringing you soup, when ever you are feeling under the weather to sending you a video which can lift your mood instantly, your true friends know how to make you feel better.
