Why Kids These Days Are The Way They Are

Have you ever come across any child who had acted immaturely or treated you poorly overall? Ever question or wonder how they got to be that that? Well I found myself questioning and wondering the same thing myself.

I found myself watching “Bad Moms” on Netflix (again) and 2/3 through the movie Mila Kunis’s character (Amy) tells her son this:

“It means that Mommy & Daddy have been spoiling you, and now you think the world owes you something, but it doesn’t.”

From plenty of experience selling to kids of young ages where their parents give them their own iPhones or iPods with touch screens who also download buy and sell apps like:

  • Letgo
  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Carousell
  • Kijiji
  • And more

And we’ll gotta say the ones I’ve had communication with through these buy and sell platforms is that they expect the seller to ship the item that they’ve posted on the platform (FREE or as negotiable or some price) for FREE??? Question?

Not everything you want is free, most things actually you have to work fro. You have to earn them. You have to work a part time job or full time job to pay for the items you see in stores, on online buy and sell platforms and more. And if you want to buy something online; you MUST own your OWN credit card to purchase.

NOTE: Kids; don’t even think about grabbing your mom or dad’s credit card from their bedroom.

The thing is when parents continually teach their kids that everything comes free and that they don’t have to work for anything, these kids become who they are when we have communications with them in any scenario.

For example,

“And if you don’t learn how to work hard now, then you’re just gonna grow up to be another entitled white dude who thinks he’s awesome for no reason. And then you’ll start a ska band and it’ll be awful and you’ll be mean to girls, and you’ll grow this ironic moustache to look interesting, but you won’t actually be interesting and I’m not okay with that. So please will you just do your own homework?”
