You Always Have Time For The Things You Put First
You know after watching this past week’s episode of “Good Trouble” a show linked from The Fosters, thoughts have been going through my mind about this quote:
“To get ahead, we have to fit in to succeed.”
Who says we have to pretend to be someone else just to get accepted by our coworkers and bosses? How can we live authentic lives if we have to strive to the opposite to be liked and accepted by these people in the workplace?
How can we expect our world, our society to change if no one says what is wrong and what can be done or changed to make things better with our own creative and optimistic thinking? How can anything change if no one brings it up to anyone to even work as a group, as a society to make new changes in our world? Especially with how easily hate, comparison, differences and more present themselves instantly.
What’s wrong with having different and unthinkable thoughts and beliefs about change in this world? Well I’m someone who’s gonna make a change about this and in different subjects that I know will eventually bring beautiful and long lasting change; change has to start with one person, that’s where it starts; somewhere, someone has to stand up and speak up! As quoting two quotes from Callie Adams-Foster:
~ When your lucky, it is your job to give something back. And when you see something wrong, to stand up and to say so. I’m not gonna apologize for standing up. Somebody has to.
~ We foster kids have no control of our own lives and it’s our time to speak up and we start calling people out by name. That is the only way that things will change. And we cannot be afraid. And that is why I’m telling my story and I really hope that you’ll tell yours.
If someone doesn’t speak up about an idea of what is wrong from what we have noticed as one person and saying what creative ideas we have with resolving it, nothing will change. No one can change unless they see what is wrong within themselves and to begin the first step to improving themselves.
