Interchain Builders Program — Cohort Q1

The Interchain Builders program came to life last year as an initiative to support teams building on the Interchain Stack. The program assists projects in various areas, such as technical support, fundraising, legal, token design & more.

Today, we are thrilled to announce the program’s 2023 Q1 participants cohort.

After careful consideration of over 80 applications last quarter, we have onboarded 18 teams in different stages of development from early stage, all the way to projects with a live mainnet. They range across different verticals, such as DeFi, Infrastructure/Tooling & Gaming/NFTs.

Here an overview of all the great projects we are excited to work with:

Infrastructure & Tooling:

Village Labs

• Village makes it easy to build marketplace platforms with web3 infrastructure that can feel just like web2 by abstracting & simplifying the underlying tech. Village’s custom modules power core marketplace capabilities like payments, rules-based token & incentive structures, user identity & onboarding, and product transactions.

Fairblock

• FairBlock is a research and development team interested in MEV, applied cryptography, and distributed systems. The current focus of the project is on enabling pre-execution privacy to enable functionalities like front-running and bad MEV prevention, sealed auctions, and scheduling encrypted transactions for all ecosystems including Cosmos L1s, L2s, and modular and cross-chain protocols.

Gitopia

• Gitopia is a platform for developers and web3 communities to collaborate on open-source projects in a decentralized and censorship-free environment by using permanent storage through Filecoin, Arweave, and IPFS. Additionally, it offers web3-specific features such as Bounties and Proposals, which Gitopia supports through its native LORE token, as well as familiar collaboration tools like Issues and Pull-Requests.

CronCat

• “If-This-Then-That” for Web3. CronCat helps automating your favorite DeFi apps, NFTs, wallets, DAOs using its automation layer built for scheduled or event driven blockchain workflows.

Paloma

• Paloma is a Cosmos SDK chain that monitors and delivers messages to every blockchain with 1 second finality. With our Python SDK and partnerships with leading trading shops, web2 developers are actively developing trading strategies on Paloma.

Side Protocol

• Side is a novel interoperable finance protocol built for Web3 applications. Its layer one blockchain, Side Hub, is created using the Cosmos SDK and is the flagship implementation of the self-innovated bridgeless inter-chain swap modules upon IBC Protocol, which makes cross-chain swap process more seamless and intuitive by allowing users trade cross-chain assets without bridging from one chain to another.

Trustless Hub

• Trustless Hub is an AppChain that allows developers and end-users to automate workflows on-chain, from recurring protocol tasks to automating asset allocation for end-users. Seamless smart contract automation enables fast development of dApps with automation capabilities and the creation of new autonomous services.

DeFi:

Quasar

• Quasar is a DeFi appchain for digital asset management. With Quasar, users can take advantage of customizable financial strategies to deploy assets across a variety of independent blockchains. Liquidity providers (LPs) on Quasar can access actively managed strategies by joining dynamic vaults that combine expert guidance and collective decision-making. Vaults allow LPs to efficiently crowdsource and deploy capital in a permissionless, transparent, and self-governed way.

Calculate Finance

• Calculated Finance (CALC) helps users maximize their crypto wealth without taking big risks. It’s the ultimate tool for smart, on-chain investment strategies. With the power of machine learning, CALC makes it easy to generate long-term wealth through risk adjusted methods, with dollar cost averaging already being live.

LARI

• LARI Finance is bringing isolated lending markets to the cosmos ecosystem. Managing risk is complex and often not well-suited for DAO-centered governance. LARI provides the tools for any market participant to deploy a lending pool according to their strategy.

Yieldmos

• Yieldmos provides non-custodial solutions: when using Yieldmos strategies, you maintain full ownership of your assets while putting them to work. Yieldmos enables boosted yields by auto compounding rewards. It intends to offer a comprehensive suite of strategies across the Cosmos ecosystem and beyond. Future plans include deployed yield products across the risk spectrum, enabling users to easily mix and match yield opportunities to produce their desired risk exposure.

Prism

• Prism will be the first layer-1 dedicated to harvesting, trading and deploying of yield, enabling users to split any yield-bearing asset into its separate yield and principal components. It intends to be the yield hub where users trade cashflows of major PoS and DeFi assets, empowering them to swap between fixed and floating yields. Bespoke features built at the blockchain level will facilitate the stripping of yield and spawn an ecosystem of innovative dAPPS utilising cashflows generated by yield-bearing PoS and DeFi assets.

NFT/Gaming:

Crowd Control

• Crowd Control is a community generated, auto-balanced online trading card game. Users can create their own cards and voting balances the game! Think MTG or Pokemon on steroids!

Other:

Chain4Energy

• Chain4Energy’s products enable energy producers, consumers, and market participants to track, manage and trade energy, increasing access and lowering energy costs. C4E creates a transparent, secure, and distributed platform for the energy industry.

Soarchain

• Soarchain is a Layer 1 built on Cosmos SDK network that enables a token-incentivized data and connectivity infrastructure for mobility. With its native smart contracts, Soarchain enables decentralized applications specific to mobility, creating a dApp ecosystem on cars, leading to a revolution of more efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly transportation.

Medibloc

• MediBloc’s mission is to open up infinite possibilities of healthcare data and is doing so by establishing a patient centric health data platform. MediBloc is currently operating a mainnet, Panacea, based on Cosmos SDK & Tendermint, and two applications called Dr.Palette, a cloud-based electronic medical record solution, and Medipass, a patient health record application in Korea.

EmpowerChain

• Empowerchain is a global platform to revolutionize waste management and recycling, creating a transparent and efficient circular economy by incentivizing collection and segregation through digital token rewards (native $MPWR token, standardized recycling tokens, and customizable tokens to enable a circular economy).

Hypersign

• Hypersign is a decentralized identity layer for the internet, giving users control of their personal data and identity whilst digital enabling trust for businesses.

The Builders Program supports these teams on an ongoing basis as their projects continue development and their needs and requirements change over time. We could not be more excited to work with such a group of quality projects and are looking forward to accelerate the growth in the Interchain.
