Introducing Confio’s CosmWasm Roadmap 2024

In 2024, CosmWasm is charting a determined course supported by the Interchain Foundation (ICF) and the wider interchain community. This collaboration is founded on the principles of open dialogue and cooperation, which have been longed for some time in the ecosystem.

For the first time, CosmWasm is officially announced as part of the Interchain Stack — alongside CometBFT, Cosmos SDK, and IBC — thanks to the communities’ support and the vast adoption of CosmWasm. We, the Confio team, are more than humbled and happy to publicly announce the CosmWasm roadmap 2024 in coordination with ICF.

Being an open-source project, we have had a ‘priority’ issue all along. In previous times, the decision-making process to respond to all those PR requests without really knowing who or how many people would get benefits was quite painful, and even though we worked hard using our limited resources, it was not properly appreciated nor contributed back.

Your dev feedback and insights from the CosmWasm experience will help us greatly. This roadmap is not the final version; this document is a living document, with open ears to our CosmWasm devs’ opinions.
