The Builders Program Launch Spotlight is a regular series where we highlight a recent or upcoming launch of projects we’re excited about. Today we have an interview with Vince from Kado. Vince is the Co-Founder & COO at Kado. He previously led business development at Mastercard, with deep experience in the loyalty and payments space working with some of the biggest brands in the world. Vince is leading Kado’s BD growth and operations, partnering with web3 builders to enable seamless capital onboarding into their applications.
What is Kado?
Kado is a web3 payments infrastructure provider enabling cheap, fast, and easy web3 onboarding from 150+ countries. Today Kado’s fiat on and off-ramp is live on 11 blockchains, including Cosmos chains like Osmosis, Injective, Juno, and Kujira. Kado partners with dApp builders to integrate seamless web3 onboarding, reducing friction and increasing conversion for new users & capital directly to their applications.
It’s been a long time coming, but the time is now: ATOM is live on Kado! Users from around the world can now instantly buy ATOM directly to their self-custody wallet.
Today there is still too much friction for new users to enter the Cosmos ecosystem. Typically folks will have to buy ATOM on a centralized exchange, wait 5+ days, and eventually withdraw to their non-custodial Cosmos wallet. Time, fees, and friction!

What Did Your Road To Launch Look Like?
Kado has been building in the Cosmos space for the last 6 months, and has had their eyes set on launching support for the ATOM (Cosmos Hub) token for a while. Through working with liquidity providers and banking infrastructure partner Prime Trust, Kado was able to push for prioritization while acting as strong advocates for the Cosmos Hub.
It’s an exciting time in Cosmos and one that Kado is eager to support for an interchain, interoperable future.
What Can We Expect At Launch?
Kado launched ATOM support on March 9th, 2023. At launch, you’ll be able to have instant ATOM purchases directly to self-custody via Debit/Credit Card, ACH, and Wire Transfer, as well as ATOM off-ramping in the US via ACH bank transfers (more international bank transfers coming soon).
Kado isn’t just another fiat on-ramp. We’re working on innovative onboarding features beyond just the typical fiat on and off-ramp flow. The following use cases are coming to the Cosmos Hub and its Consumer Chains:
