In a Instagram posted Wednesday, 25-year old rapper Megan Thee Stallion revealed she was shot last Sunday morning during an “intentional” altercation in Los Angeles.

At 4:30 a.m., police responded to reports of disturbance outside a Hollywood Hills party, where witnesses told TMZ they heard arguing in an SUV followed by shots in the air before the vehicle drove off. Megan Thee Stallion was allegedly accompanied by musician Tory Lanez, and another woman when police arrested Lanez for possession of a concealed weapon. She was rushed to the hospital, where it was initially reported she was treated for a foot laceration.

The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper was responding to rumors that she was arrested by the police, after a video surfaced of her allegedly being handcuffed surfaced on social media. She claims that she was never arrested and that police rushed her to urgent care. TMZ said that Meghan Thee Stallion was listed as “a victim” in the police report. “I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible,” she stated on her Instagram page.

An LAPD spokesperson told Billboard that Lanez was charged with a felony count after police found a concealed weapon in his vehicle, and he was released on bail which was set at $35,000. The Interlude has reached out to the LAPD Hollywood precinct for comment.
