This blurry image of SpongeBob’s boss Mr. Krabs was circling the internet in 2016; it was commonly used to convey that you’re confused, disoriented, or in trouble. This image was taken from a scene in seasons 2 episode “Patty Hype” where Mr. Krabs is hassled by a crowd of angry customers after they ate his burgers that gave them weird side effects. The internet took to this meme and captioned it with a relatable caption such as “when you just woke up from a nap and your parents are already yelling at you.” Thus, making this image into a relatable meme.
Spongegar/Primitive Sponge/ Caveman SpongeBob is another noteworthy meme that was and still is circling the web.

Primitive Sponge is a prehistoric version of SpongeBob; it is often used as a reaction to when you’re anxious, and your primal instincts kick in during an intense situation.

The most popular SpongeBob meme of 2017 is SpongeBob Mocking. SpongeBob Mocking is a meme taken from a scene where SpongeBob clucks like a chicken.
