André Kostolany was a stock market expert, more accurately, he identified himself as a speculator. His book Die Kunst über Geld nachzudenken (and many others) is considered one of the Bibles for investment here. The book is full of wise advice from his experience as a speculator for more than a decade. Beginners or experienced investors will both enjoy the work.

The original title seems to mean “the art of thinking about money, ” which I think suits the book’s spirit more. (The Mandarin title is more straightforward, which means simply “A confession of a speculator.” ) As Kostolany put it, speculation isn’t about estimation and charts; it’s an art.

Thus, Die Kunst über Geld nachzudenken wouldn’t teach you what stocks to choose (and I don’t think any other books should do it either), but it offered ways to develop our own perspective to look at the stock market, and also build a healthy mindset for investment. Among all pearls of wisdom in the book, Kostolany’s Egg is one of the most classics.
