In my last story, I shared some awesome tips for solo travel, which you can check out by clicking here. One of the top tips was all about choosing the right destination. To make life easier for my fellow wanderers, here are some top solo travel destinations to help you plan your next adventure.

Kasol ( Himachal Pradesh)
  1. Kasol- Kasol is a gem for solo travelers. Nestled in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, it offers the perfect mix of peace and adventure. If you love trekking, don’t miss the Kheerganga trek. It’s a popular and steep one, but trust me, the view from the top is worth every step. If you’re traveling alone, consider joining a group trek or hiring a guide, especially during the rainy season. And while you’re there, visit the famous Manikaran Sahib Gurdwara and indulge in some cafe hopping.
Manali ( Himachal Pradesh)

2. Manali- Situated at the northern end of the Kullu Valley and formed by the Beas River, Manali is a must-visit for any traveler. You’ll never feel lonely or bored here. However, I recommend avoiding the peak season to escape the crowds. Explore popular spots like Hidimba Devi Temple, Rohtang Pass, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. Manali is also the gateway to Lahaul Spiti, but I wouldn’t advise going there alone.

Jibhi ( Himachal Pradesh), Picture Credits: Malhotrapiyush

3. Jibhi — A hidden gem in the serene valley of Himachal Pradesh, Jibhi is surrounded by scenic waterfalls, lakes, and dense pine forests. This place is a visual treat and a perfect escape into nature’s beauty. If you enjoy peace and fewer crowds, Jibhi is your spot. Don’t miss the short trek to Serolsar Lake and an incredible 360-degree view.

Banaras ( Uttar Pradesh)

4. Banaras — Banaras, or Varanasi, is the perfect destination for spiritually inclined travelers. With its famous ghats, amazing street food (especially heeng ki kachori), and mesmerizing ghat aartis, this place is pure peace. If you’re on a quest to find yourself, Banaras is the place to be. The vibrant city atmosphere will uplift your spirit, and don’t miss the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a major attraction here.

Udaipur (The City of Lakes)

5. Udaipur — Udaipur, known as the City of Lakes, is a beloved destination and a major tourist spot in Rajasthan. Its enchanting lakes, serene boat rides, and stunning temples make it a perfect weekend getaway.

These are my top 5 solo travel destinations that I’ve personally experienced. Do you have more suggestions? Share them in the comments! Stay tuned for more travel tips and stories on my blog.
