JLo launched her new shoe brand ‘JLO’.

Usually, celebrity brands or fame-enriched fashionable wear have an untouchable price point. However, her new launch consists of affordable prices and designer quality.

Look at Kanye West’s ‘YEEZY’ or Rihanna’s ‘FENTY’. These brands showcase expensive footwear and clothing, which can be attributed to the success of the celebrity.

A pair of YEEZY BOOST sneakers will cost you around $400 at resell price. A FENTY coat will cost you around $1500 at retail price.

‘JLO’, however, boasts an affordable retail price of around $79, with a pair of espadrilles being priced as low as $59.

While the majority of competitive and established brands (Jimmy Choo or Christian Louboutin) showcase designer footwear at a much higher price, ‘JLO’ attempts to target all individuals with a keen interest in fashion.

Jennifer Lopez has had her fair share in influencing the fashion industry. She previously partnered up with Versace and Giuseppe Zanotti. Recently, she joined Michael Jordan in Coach’s ‘Originals Go Their Own Way’ Campaign.

With the experience garnered from these luxury fashion houses, one would expect her new brand to be extremely exclusive and pricey.

Contrary to the previous assumption, she’s trying to make her shoe collections accessible to most people. In her launch, she stated: ‘Fashion is an expression of who I am in the moment. Every shoe in this collection is a version of me.’

This expression of her passion represents the pinnacle of her career as a fashion icon and a symbol to the public.

She’s putting out a statement saying that fashion doesn’t necessarily come with a big paycheck. It comes with passion, and I support that.
