What If? (Alternate History)

In an alternate universe, maybe humans already colonized the Moon? Or maybe they have no Moon?

It has been said that most important question is “Why?’, and certainly I agree,

The second most important question is “How”, as it turns up often in many analysis and inquiry.

Yet suppose if it is verified that our reality was not the only one,and there were many alternatives,

Parallel to our own but separate entities. That would be make the next important question to be “What If?”.

I wonder about the different realities and possibilities,

How would things be different?

How would they be the same?

Would certain things be better?

Would they be worse?

I wonder, what if certain things happen differently, compared to our reality, and how would we be affected?

What if the Atlantic slave trade never happened?

What if the British won the Revolutionary War?

What if there was no American Civil War?

What if Reconstruction was successful?

What if there was no World War II?

What if there was no Cold War?

These are large scale events, but even the life of a single person being different could make an outstanding impact.

What if Emmett Till was not murdered?

What if Oswald missed, or only wounded President Kennedy?

Or what if the police actually prevented Jack Ruby from killing Oswald?

What is Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X joined forces?

What if Fred Hampton survived?

What if Josh Gibson played in the majors?

What if Willie O’Ree stayed in the NHL and became an All-Star?

What if Curt Flood never challenged the reserve clause?

What if Michael Jordan allowed being cut from his high school team to stop him from playing basketball?

What if Muhammad Ali went to serve in Vietnam, and died?

What if Thomas Edison paid Nikola Tesla?

What if Shirley Chisholm or Jesse Jackson won the presidential election?

What if the Challenger never blew up?

What if Dorothy Dandridge became a star?

What if Jack Johnson never lost his title?

Or what if he gave Sam Langford a title shot?

What if Sam Cooke was never shot?

What if Jimi Hendrix lived?

What if Kool Herc did not invent hip-hop?

What if Tupac and Biggie were still alive?

So many questions, so many possibilities…
