Notions Of Honor in American Politics

Honor has to do with honesty, integrity, duty, being true. Courage.
As you survey our political peaks and valleys does anyone leap to mind?
Someone suggested an Orthodox Jew who keeps Kosher on the Connecticut Shore. During the frenzied after-election-days of Bush-Gore every Florida vote counted mightily. Men without honor (without a shred of it, i.e. Bob Beckel) tried to void the absentee military vote. They thought it would favor Bush.
They might have done it but their own Vice-Presidential candidate: Joe Lieberman, said “Count them.”
Honor looks like a guy named Joe…
For a group picture of what honor isn’t click on the 1998 Clinton cabinet as they stand in drunken formation, swearing to his lie. While they were standing in front of the nation, swearing to it, they knew it was a lie. A little later, when everybody did, none of them –not one- had the class to resign.
The left doesn’t resign.
“We’re going to put you in a movie and you’re going to be great. You’re going to be so great that we’ve decided to give you the Academy Award for best actress before the movie’s made. Before the script is written.”
Do you accept it? Thank the little people?
Obama did exactly that. He accepted a Nobel Peace Prize for nothin’ & your chicks for free.
He might have said: “Hang onto this, I’ll be back when I’ve earned it.”
Many wish he had. That would have been honor.
What do you think of Comey? (Hamlet)
Honor? Or not?
Do you agree with this: No one knows the Clintons better than the FBI?
