This is the deep and secret fear of the Clinton people: that an election they win so big on paper will be lost in the real world. That lament might sound like this: “We had the unions, the Blacks, the Hispanics, the women, the government, the felons, the welfare people, academia, the media, the abortion parts, the illegals. We had all those.

How on earth could we have lost so decisively?

It is a haunting prospect, indeed. Hard to face. Easy to look away. But whether you face the fact -or not- the fact remains. It’s still there. It’s not going anywhere.

If the fact is that Clinton’s time has come…and gone…is going to be very difficult to buck that. It will require, essentially, martial law.
