Beta Update #8: Winter and Waypoints

The most requested feature so far has been adding winter imagery to the map.

We’re super happy to say you can now explore 37 areas (and counting) in both the web and mobile apps. With touring season around the corner, we can’t wait to hear how you use the maps to plan some epic tours.

Release Notes (Web)

• Winter imagery is now ready to use in 37 areas across EU and NA
• Plus, we’ve got some very exciting planning features in the works.

Release Notes (Mobile)

• You can now add waypoints to start planning routes. Give them names and begin planning some epic days out.
• Again, winter imagery is here! Go check it out.
• The compass has been introduced for easy orientation.
• Terrain layers have been updated with a legend to match web.

General Release Notes

• Some parts of the map are still experiencing some rendering issues, we’re aiming to get that fix in next week’s release.
• Support for mobile browsers isn’t here yet, so don’t open the link below on your mobile device (you can request mobile app access by emailing earlyaccess@fatmap.com).
